Yay Carolyn!

I’ve finally caught up to a point with comics done by Carolyn Kopecky. A fitting accomplishment since her return to the state after a business trip where I understand things went well. She now has a brief bio on the About page.

I was also able to update the latest additions to the Characters page. With the latter, I’ve been updating it with each new installment in order of appearance. One problem I remember from running the old website was that, sometimes on the show, people would refer to a creature or event from a previous show. We in the studio might be at a loss to what the person looked like or what they did. Now, with the site recieving consistent and frequent updates, we the artists, you the audience, and everyone else remotely curious isn’t lost when something’s referred to because all of those things are searchable. For example, try typing in “Evil Philo” and see what comes up. :)

Facebook, Characters, and Schedules, Oh My!

So, in an effort to make use of this crazy internet thing, I recently joined Facebook and discovered, to my surprise, that there is a “Philo Community” started by Aaron Landry, minneapolis Blogger.

If you’re a member of Facebook, and would like to join the community, you can find it here.

In other news, unlike the last run of a website dedicated to Philo which was hand-coded in HTML, Javascript, CSS, and .SSI code by my overworked little chicken-pecking fingers, this version allows me much more control over the different pages. Also, because I’m taking my time with the updates, adding one each day, it lets me fill out the Characters Page in much more detail than before with less effort. So, rather than having only a handful of re-appearing characters, I decided that everyone is getting their turn, in order of appearance. Because I’m only to September of 2007 right now, no Big Cookie yet, but he’ll get his due. Just you wait, Minneapolis. Thanks for watching!

Just a reminder, no show next week, Monday 01/12/09 as Hamil and Carolyn are out of town, but we’ll be returning the following week with more wacky drawing! See you then!

Philo Show Schedule

Hi guys!

Last night’s show with Kay and I was fun. I think it was great that Big Cookie finally got his due as elected king of the cookie people in Tezmeister-land. We won’t be on air next week, 1/12/2009, because Carolyne and Hamil will be in Atlanta, but we’ll be returning the following week of 1/19/2009. It’ll take me a while to get caught up on the shows, so don’t forget to subscribe to the RSS feed and check the site to view the older comics. I’m finally through July of 2007, starting into August of the same year. Just keeping you up to date.

Your friendly neighborhood webmaster-

-glych.

Videos and Updates

Hi all!

I have good news, great news, and okay news.

The good news is that I’m going to add the new show comics to the archives every day.

The great news is that I’ll be posting my personal DVD copies of each show (that own have a record of) to Blip.tv since MTN’s schedule on those updates has been a little intermitten as of late. Currently, the videos are not up yet, but I’ll retroactively add the video for 07/23/2007’s “The Elephant” tomorrow. Thank you all so much for the patience on waiting for this site.

The okay news is that there’s still some minor tweaking needed for the site that I will be getting help with within the next few days so it’ll be much easier to navigate and view time posts. If there’s any questions or you would like to drop a note, please make a comment. Thank you again!

Back on Track

Due to recent events in my life, the production of this site was delayed for a few weeks until I was able to handle the chaos but now we’re on track. I’ll be posting old comics and links to shows as I’m able. Tonight,  I was able to add all of Hamil’s comics from before I joined along with character images and descriptions for those that appeared within those panels.

I hope to have a thumbnail available in the excerpt shown, but as of right now, you have to click on the post to view the comic and description.
